This late Victorian / early Edwardian barrel back tub chair is an antique with a mahogany framework and orange and brown jacquard pattern chenille upholstery.front legs are delicately carved and end with pad feet, while the back legs are sweeping and square.Arms are similarly carved and scroll topped, joined with impressive lower patterned woodwork topped with upholstered backrest and detail stringing.
With a height of 70cm and a width of 65cm this chair would certainly make a statement in any setting. Condition; framework in excellent almost unmarked condition, upholstery shows signs of age related wear to top af arms and front of cushion (see photos). Nice Oak woodwork in very nice condition for its age with very minimal marks.Has just been reupholstered in rich red padded faux leather.Comfortable curved back with nine slim upright slats.
