Antique Carbide lamps by Powell and Hanmet of Birmingham.
Nice examples of this groundbreaking invention. These lamps revolutionised mobile lighting in the early part of the 1900s. With many uses from bicycle/ mining/ and early automobiles. These lamps would have been bicycle items.
These lamps, while showing signs of its age and use are in very nice condition with relevant age related markings and patina.
Measurements;One lamp 17cm high x 16cm length x 12cm wide.
Other lamp 16cm high x 14cm length x 10 cm wide.
Smaller lamp has cracked glass lens but is still in situ.
